There are two ways to reach the island of Crete:

BY BOAT: From Piraeus port, daily departures to Souda port of Chania or to the port of Heraklion.

BY PLANE: There are two international airports on the island: in Chania and in Heraklion.

DISTANCES

Chania Airport: 39 km (45 min. drive to Kournas/Kavalos village).

Souda Port of Chania: 28 km (20min. drive to Kournas/Kavalos village).

Heraklion Port or Airport: 106 km (90 min. drive to Kournas/Kavalos village).

From Chania airport or Souda port: Follow the signs to the highway in the direction of Rethymnon. Take the highway. Upon reaching Georgioupoli (after 31.8 km) at the sign Kournas Lake turn right following the signs to Kavalos Tavern. Drive carefully for another 3.4 km. When you reach the Kavalos Village at your right you will reach Blue Lake Villa.

From airport or harbour of Heraklion: Follow the signs to the highway in the direction of Rethymno – Chania. Take the highway. Pass all the exits to Rethymno and continue, headed in the direction Chania. After 101km driving turn left following the signs for Kournas Lake and Kavalos Tavern. Drive carefully for another 3.4 km. When you reach the Kavalos Village at your right you will reach Blue Lake Villa.
